This gorgeous hand painted tea set was created for Limoges and sold at the Christofle store in Paris. The painting of this set is of the water lilies that Monet was so well known for and which he painted from his garden at Giverny.
This set is from my private collection and I bought it in the 1970's from the Christofle store on the Rue de la Paix in Paris.
It is in wonderful condition, no chips, cracks or discoloration. The colors are beautiful pastels.
There are 4 cups, 4 saucers, a teapot and a sugar bowl.
What a phenomenal wedding gift this would be or something for you to own and hand down to future generations.
The teapot measures 8 inches and is 9 inches from handle to spout. The cups are 2 inches tall and the opening is 3 inches.
Rare and beautiful.
