I bought a home in France years ago as I fell in love with the part of France called the Dordogne. I did not know, when I bought it, that every Sunday there was a flea market somewhere close by.
As I learned my way around them I started purchasing things and came up with the idea of a web site. Everything I buy is in France and after cleaning, washing and fixing it up, it is packed and sent to Dallas. From there I ship it to my customers and they get what they buy in a few days instead of a few weeks.
I love the Japanese expression. Wabi Sabi. It’s flea markets, not shopping malls, aged wood, one single morning glory not a dozen roses. Wabi Sabi understands the raw beauty of a December landscape and the elegance of an abandoned building. It celebrates time worn items such as the things I buy at the flea markets. I must say it took me awhile to understand this.
That having been said, I buy the best I can find, specializing in items you will use such as linens, silver, crystal, dishes and sconces to name a few.
I hope you like what you see.
